Viola Zahler, age 90, of Buffalo, formerly of Kimball, died Monday, May 26, 2014 at Park View Care Center, Buffalo.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at St. Anne's Catholic Church, Kimball with Fr. Thomas Olson as the celebrant.  Visitation will be one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church.  Burial will follow at St. Anne's Catholic Cemetery.

Viola H. Zahler was born June 17, 1923 in Kimball, MN to Anton and Theresa (Adolph) Tellers. As a young girl, Viola attended school in Kimball until the 8 ^th grade. She then helped on the family farm. On November 14, 1945 Viola was united in marriage to Raymond William Zahler at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Kimball. They made their home in Kimball and raised their son, Robert. Viola worked for various businesses in Kimball including Dingmann Hardware, Knaus Sausage House, Red Owl, and Hines Dry Goods. She then began an approximate 10 year career working for Vision-Ease in St. Cloud before she retired. In 2007, Viola moved to Buffalo to be closer to her family as her health started to decline. In her retirement years, Viola enjoyed gardening, sewing, playing cards, shopping, dancing, and quilting. She especially treasured the time she was able to spend with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Viola is survived by her son, Robert (Jacqueline) Zahler of Buffalo; grandchildren, Tara Zahler of Minneapolis and Lincoln (Libby) Zahler of Springfield, Virginia; great grandchildren, T.J. & Quinn J. Zahler; sisters, Lorraine Miller of Annandale and Loretta Stenger of Watkins; and many nieces, nephews, and other family memebers. She is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond, parents, Anton and Theresa Tellers, and sisters, Theresa Zahler, Margaret Nothnagel and Marcella Brutger.
