Viola M. Latour, age 93, of Annandale died Monday, February 20, 2006 at the Annandale Care Center.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, February 23, 2006 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Annandale with Fr. Victor Valencia officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Annandale. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9-10 a.m. Thursday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale. There will be a prayer service 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Viola Mary Latour was born July 18, 1912 in Maple Lake to Joseph and Leah (Lafave) Rasset. She married Hubert J. Latour February 4, 1931 in Maple Lake and he preceded her in death on March 25, 1992. Viola was a homemaker and farmed with her husband in Southside Township, Wright County for 55 years, retiring in 1986. She was a member of St. Ignatius Church, Council of Catholic Women and the Birthday Club. She enjoyed music, dancing & gardening and was a loving caretaker & great cook.

She is survived by her children, Cletus of Annandale, Bernice (Douglas) Zumbusch of Wayzata, Maurice `Butch` (Ione) of Annandale, John (Anna) of South Haven, Russell, Joanne (Jerold) Cordell, & Mary (Norman) Shoberg, all of Annandale; brother, Marvin (Grace) Rasset of Annandale; 17 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband; 6 brothers, Willard, Lloyd, Bernard, Joseph, Howard, & Leo; and 3 sisters, Loretta, Esther & Theresa.

The pallbearers will be Steven Zumbusch, Jeffrey, Randall & Michael Latour, Troy & Patrick Cordell, Chad & Justin Shoberg. The music for the service will be provided by Krista Tarbox and Sarah Goelz. The arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care of Annandale.
