Vernon P. Huckenpoehler, age 71, of Kimball died suddenly on Saturday, November 21, 2015 in St. Cloud after suffering a massive heart attack.
Memorial Services will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday, November 27, 2015 at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Kimball with Rev. David Milz officiating. Burial will follow at the Kimball Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, Friday, at the funeral chapel.
Vernon Paul Huckenpoehler was born November 2, 1944 in Watkins to Christ and Hildegard (Huberty) Huckenpoehler. On September 8, 1973, he was united in marriage to Kathy Nygaard in Watertown, S.D. Vern worked as a truck driver; transporting milk, grain, fuel and many other products throughout the five state area. He enjoyed Twins Baseball, being the neighborhood watch dog, doing yard work, washing the car and his dog Willie.
He is survived by his wife Kathy; sons Kenny of St. Joseph and Paul (Nicole) of Kimball; step son Randy VanNurden; grandchildren Travis, McKenzie and Cassidie; step grandchildren Tyler and Chase; brothers and sisters Ervin (Darlene) of Wakins, Millie Jensen of Eden Valley, Earl (Barb) of Kimball and Rosie Chastek of Spicer. He is preceded in death by his parents and four brothers-in-law.
The urn bearers will be Kenny, Paul, Nicole and Travis Huckenpoehler. Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Kimball.
