Troy A. Pettis, age 51, of Annandale, died Thursday, December 14, 2023, at Cornerstone Care in Litchfield after a valiant fight of ongoing health conditions. His strength to endure these numerous challenges was remarkable. His upbeat spirit was truly inspirational; even through all of his struggles he was always happy and pleasant towards family and friends. Memorial Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Annandale with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Grace Southside Cemetery near Annandale. Troy Alan Pettis was born September 21, 1972, in Golden Valley, MN to Darwin and Carmen (Thomale) Pettis. The family lived in North Minneapolis where he attended his first couple of years of elementary school at Willard Elementary. The family moved to Annandale, where Troy attended Bendix Elementary and Annandale High School. He lived the rest of his life in the Annandale area. Troy worked for numerous employers over the years, including T.O. Plastics in Clearwater, Homestyle Country Cafe in Annandale, the Hasty Truck Stop, and MP Nexlevel in Maple Lake. Troy enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, and playing Mafia Wars online. He is survived by his father, Darwin Pettis of Annandale; sister, Tammy (Matt) Benson of Monticello; niece, Myra Benson; nephew, Vincent Benson, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Carmen Pettis; grandparents, Darlene and Walter Pettis, and Oscar and Lorette Thomale.
