Thomas Michael Dircks was born October 3, 1953, in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Bernard and Mary (Vealitzek) Dircks. Tom grew up in Maple Lake, along with his 3 siblings. He graduated from Maple Lake High School in 1971. On June 11, 1977, Tom was united in marriage to Barbara Davis at St. Timothy Catholic Church in Maple Lake. They made their home in rural Monticello, where their three daughters were raised. Tom worked as a machinist for over 40 years, the last 26 years of his career at Vector Tool in Monticello. Tom retired in 2020 and shortly after, he and Barb moved into their dream retirement home that they built on the home farm in rural Maple Lake. Tom enjoyed fishing and playing guitar. He could also be found outside tinkering with vehicles or creating aluminum can planes. He especially enjoyed the time he was able to spend with his family, especially with his five grandchildren. Tom is survived by his wife of 45 years, Barbara of Maple Lake; daughters, Laurie Dircks of Clearwater, Terri (Adam) Kiefer of Rockville, and Sandy (Luke) Gerber of Clearwater; 5 adoring grandchildren, Luella, Leo, and Flora Kiefer, and Adeline and Austin Gerber; siblings, Richard (Kay) Dircks of Murrieta, CA, Rosemary Knudson of Hartland, MI, and Donna (Denny) Wurm of Clearwater; and many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Mary Dircks; parents-in-law, Lowell and Marilyn Davis; and brother-in-law, Curt Knudson. Adam Kiefer, Luke Gerber, Mike Yohnke and Mike Geraets will serve as urn bearers. Arrangements entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care Burial and Cremation Services of Maple Lake.
