Theresa A. Zahler, age 74, of 14996 County Road 48, Kimball died Tuesday, January 17, 2006 at her home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 21, 2006 at St. Anne`s Catholic Church, Kimball with Fr. Tom Knoblach officiating. Burial will follow in St. Anne`s Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday and 9-10 a.m. Saturday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Kimball. There will be a prayer service 7 p.m. Friday. Memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society.
Theresa Anne Zahler was born September 22, 1931 in Clear Lake to Fred and Julia (Chaffin) Goenner. She married James M. Zahler on June 19, 1954 in Clear Lake and he preceded her in death on April 15, 2000. She was a homemaker and was employed by Catholic Charities beginning in 1974 and retiring in 1999 as the manager of the Kimball Senior Dining Center. Theresa was a member of St. Anne`s Church and Kimball Friends of the Library. She enjoyed gardening, reading and card playing.
She is survived by her children & their spouses, Anne & Miles Hamre of St. Paul, Joan & Romaric Zongo of Kimball, Karen & Mark Bentz of Albuquerque, NM, Janice & Rudy Pramann of Clearwater, James E. & Becky Zahler of Centuria, WI; brothers, sisters & their spouses, Tom & Marge Goenner of Elk River, Fred & Mary Goenner of Brooklyn Center, Virginia & Steve Foster of Columbus, WI, Ed & Mary Ann Goenner of Clear Lake, Richard & JoAnn Goenner of Clear Lake, Joe & Betty Goenner of Clear Lake, Johanna & Don Honkomp of St. Cloud, Mike & Gwen Goenner of Clear Lake, Dave & Donna Goenner of Clear Lake; sister in law, Delphine Goenner of Clear Lake and 11 grandchildren. Her husband and brother, Jim Goenner preceded her in death.
The pallbearers will be Nick & Josh Pramann, Brian Bentz, Jim Zahler III, Mike & Dave Goenner. Mary Streit, organist and the St. Anne`s Choir will provide the music for the service. The arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care of Kimball.
