Theodore J. "Teddy" Flanders, age 53, of Annandale died Monday, June 2, 2014 at his home in Annandale surrounded by loved ones after a short but hard struggle with cancer.

Memorial Services will be held 6:00 p.m. Friday, June 6, 2014 at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the services.

Theodore James Flanders was born February 9, 1961 in Wichita, KS to Robert and Juanita (Ferguson) Flanders.  Teds life story includes working at Minnesota Meat Masters, as an IT tech at Midwest Signs, as a dispatcher for Wright County Sherriff's Department and as an inspector for the City of Minneapolis.  Ted developed a passion for helping others through AA, Waverly Treatment Center and Hazelden Plymouth Campus; he had a story to tell.  His true passion was the Annandale Fire Department; he loved his "Fire Department Family". Ted had a love for duck hunting, fishing, NHRA Drag Racing, MN Wild Hockey and ice cream.

Ted had a non-wavering love for his family: his daughters Jennifer Schmidt of Clearwater and Joscelyn Flanders of Annandale; grandchildren Jorden Schmidt, Eli Schultz and Myles Freiberg; sisters Br enda McLean of Annandale and Cindy (Lee) Nelson of Annandale; brother Bobby (Carol) McLean of Tyler, TX; 14 neices and nephews and his dog Rosie.  He is preceded in death by his parents; and infant sister; and his beloved dog Babe.

Honorary Urn Bearers will be Tim Fisher, Tom and Donny Handeland, Brian Haag, Bobby McLean and Donny Nelson.  Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Annandale.
