Obituary
Terre J. Harff, age 64, of Maine Prairie Township died peacefully at home surrounded by her family on June 28, 2012 after a short battle with pancreatic cancer.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 2, 2012 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Kimball with Pastor David Milz officiating. Burial will follow at Maine Prairie Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to the service, Monday, both at the church. A prayer service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Sunday. Memorials are preferred to St. John's Lutheran Church or Maine Prairie Township for new town hall.
Terre Jean Harff was born on August 19, 1947 in Anoka to Gordon and Margie (Matheson) Hinrichs. She was a 1965 graduate of Osseo High School. On November 19, 1966, she was married to Ronald A. Harff at First Methodist Church in Osseo.
Terre worked as a homemaker and farm wife, bank teller, secretary for Farmers Insurance Group, and for the past seven years as a Maine Prairie Township Clerk/Treasurer. Ron and Terre moved from the Hanover area to farm in the Watkins/Kimball area in 1969. She participated in Maine Prairie Merry Makers Homemakers Group, 4-H, Young Dairy Farmers Program, Dairy Princess Program, and by supporting her husband in the dairy industry whenever possible. Terre also enjoyed gardening, fishing, playing cards with friends, playing with her grandchildren, and spending time at their camper in the Battle Lake/Underwood area.
Terre is survived by her husband Ronald of Watkins; daughter Lynn (Jody) Hoff of St. Augusta; son Brian (Diane) Harff of Watkins; grandchildren Cassandra, Jason and Andrea Hoff, Morgan Steffens, Logan and Julia Hoff, and Lane and Coltant Harff; great grandchild Nevaeh Hoff; and siblings Darlene (Jerry) Germann of Bullhead City, AZ and Rick (Lois) Hinrichs of New Richmond, WI. She also left behind several nieces and nephews, extended family and very special friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Gorden and Margie Hinrichs; Ron's parents Ken and Erna Harff; and Ron's brother, Roger Harff.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Ende, Paul Germann, Kyle Hinrichs, William Hinrichs, Jason Hoff and Brandon Purdy. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jenny Germann, Melissa Purdy and Dara Smith. Veronica Germann, Gabrielle Becker and Lori Rippentrop will provide the music for the service. Arrangements are entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care, Kimball.
