Obituary
Mr. Stewart H. Montgomery, age 90, of Minneapolis died Monday, June 13, 2005 at the St. Anthony Health Care Center, St. Anthony.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 17, 2005 at Mount Hermon Lutheran Church, Annandale with Rev. Steven C. Josephson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the funeral on Friday.
Stewart Harold Montgomery was born July 14, 1914 in Duluth to Harold and Margaret (McDonald) Montgomery. He married Lillian A. Johnson October 10, 1936 in Albion Township, Wright County and she preceded him in death March 4, 1995. Stewart served his Country in the US Army during WW II and the Korean Conflict. He retired as an Officer from the US Army in 1971. Stewart was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Fort Snelling Officer`s Club, and was active in the 3rd Infantry.
Stewart is survived by a son and daughter, Roger J. (Karen) Montgomery, and Peggy I. Montgomery both of St. Anthony; three grandsons; six great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A brother and sister preceded him in death.
Pallbearers will be Stewart, Scott, Matt, Mary, Katie, and Elena Montgomery. Music for the funeral provided by Genevieve Larson and Betsy Horsch.
Arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care, Annandale.
