Steven "Booie" Warner, age 61, of Maple Lake, Minnesota, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at Buffalo Hospital in Buffalo, Minnesota.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at the Church of St. Timothy, Maple Lake, with Fr. John Meyer as Celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Timothy Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday and 9-10 a.m. on Wednesday, both at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Maple Lake. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral chapel.
Steven Scott Warner was born November 13, 1962, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Carl and Betty Warner. He grew up in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. On January 2, 1993, he was united in marriage to Laura H. Kahn, in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. They were blessed with 3 daughters and 2 sons. Steven worked several truck driving jobs over the years. His most recent employer was Bernatello's Foods, which was his favorite job. In his youth, Steven was an avid wrestler and football player. His favorite winter activity was ice fishing. He loved fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family. He adored animals, especially his 6 tiny chihuahuas. He was always active and spent many days fixing cars, building guitars and gardening. Steven loved the Lord, and shared God's message of mercy, especially at the end of his journey.
Steven is survived by his wife Laura; children, Sarah, Hannah, Gabriel, Joseph, and Rachael; siblings, Abraham (Dee) Ybarra, Timothy (Aly) Ybarra, Terry Ybarra, Chris Ybarra, Ricky (Holly) Ybarra, Kip (Colleen) Warner, Tracey Kichler, Brandon Warner, Bradley Bye, and Nadyne (Tom) Andresen; parents, Carl and Betty Warner; and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Anthony Ybarra; mother, Joyce Bye-Warner; best friend, Christopher Miller; and his dog, Rosie.
