Stella T. Snabb, age 93, of Annandale died Friday, March 24, 2006 at the Annandale Care Center.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 28, 2006 at the Annandale United Methodist Church with Rev. Marilee Benson officiating. Burial will follow in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, French Lake Township, Wright County. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Monday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale and one hour prior to services at the Church. There will be a prayer service 7 p.m. Monday.
Stella Theresa Snabb was born January 16, 1913 at Thief River Falls to Martin and Betsey (Larson) Stokke. She married Ernest A. Snabb February 7, 1942 in French Lake Township where they then farmed. She was a homemaker and worked for Leef Brothers Laundry, Minneapolis, then did cleaning of homes, cabins & offices in the Annandale area. Stella was a member of Annandale United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women & South Haven VFW Post #7332 Auxiliary. She was a former Sunday School Teacher, Bendix Elementary Foster Grandparent and Annandale Care Center Volunteer. She loved kids, card playing, sewing, cross-stitching, needlework, quilting, rug making, canning, and making jams & jellies. Stella had always wanted to be a nurse and really loved it when she could take care of people.
She is survived by son in law, Waldo Schacht of Annandale; daughter in law, Judy Snabb of Litchfield; 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 9 step grandchildren and 14 step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, son Donald, daughter Bette Loesch Schacht, son in law James Loesch, infant daughter Angela, and sisters, Olive Lindgren & Martha Jaap.
The pallbearers will be Jamie Loesch, Waldo & Charles Schacht, Jason, Todd & Tom Snabb, Jeremy Hood and Darwin Hoffman. The music for the service will be provided by Larry & Nancy Wasmund and Gary Partridge, vocalists and Sharon Planer, pianist. The arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care of Annandale.
