Obituary
Sidney W. Wood, Sr., age 78, of South Haven, died Friday, February 1, 2008 at the Emmanuel Home in Litchfield.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 4, 2008 at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale with Pastor John Peterson officiating. Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to services, Monday at the funeral home.
Sidney William Wood, Sr. was born October 12, 1929 to Harry and Eunice (McNeal) Wood. He served his country in the US Army. Sidney married Audrey 'Dolly' Bowman on June 18, 1955 in Iowa and she preceded him in death on July 12, 2003. He worked in the finishing department of Palms Industries in Litchfield and as an auto glass installer for Harmon Glass Co. in Minneapolis. Sidney was a member of the Litchfield American Legion Post and the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
He is survived by his children, Sid Jr. (Jerilyn) of Galesburg, IL, Thomas (Janet) of St. Cloud, Phillip (Debbie) of Annandale and Kathy Olson (Mike Donabauer) of South Haven; sister, Bonnie (Don) Carlson of Minneapolis; sisters-in-law, Vee Ann of Plato and Pauline of Minneapolis; eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife; granddaughter, Kellyann Fricke; brothers, Ernest, Thomas 'Bud' and William 'Billy'; and sister, Irene Weiser.
Arrangements are entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care, Annandale.
