Shirley Ann Stueck was born on June 13, 1932, in South Haven, Minnesota to Henry and Hazel (Lyons) Stueck. She lived her entire life in the South Haven area. Shirley was a proud graduate of Annandale High School, where she graduated as valedictorian. On August 12, 1950, Shirley married Calvin Nordberg at Zion United Methodist Church in South Haven. She devoted herself wholeheartedly to her family as a homemaker, dedicating her life to creating a loving home and a welcoming environment. In addition to her role as a devoted wife and mother, she showcased her talent as a seamstress and over the years, worked various jobs in the community at Marv's Red Owl and Country Lane. Her work as a cook at Camp Koinonia allowed her to share her culinary talents with many, while her time spent alongside her husband, Calvin, on the family farm highlighted her unwavering commitment to their shared life.
Shirley's passions flourished through her creative endeavors in quilting, crafting, sewing, and making doll clothes. The winter months were often dedicated to these joyful hobbies, while the warmer seasons found her immersed in the bountiful floral and vegetable gardens.
