Obituary
Mrs. Shirley A. Starry, age 67, of Maple Lake died Wednesday, May 26, 2004 at the St. Cloud Hospital.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 29, 2004 at St. Timothy`s Catholic Church, Maple Lake with Father Mark Huberty officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday and 9-10 a.m. Saturday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Maple Lake. There will be a prayer service 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral chapel in Maple Lake.
Shirley Ann Starry was born June 19, 1936 in Chatham Township, Wright County to Harold and Dorothy (Ferrel) Scanlon. She married Warren Starry on June 25, 1955 in Maple Lake. She was a homemaker and also worked as a machinist for Control Data and Pako. Shirley lived in Maple Lake all her life where she was a member of St. Timothy`s Catholic Church and the Council of Catholic Women. Shirley loved her family, cooking, gardening, Walleye fishing, and bird watching.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Warren of Maple Lake; sons and daughters, Doug (Judy) of Maple Lake, Pam (Tim) Pribyl of Maple Lake, Alan (Pam) of Becker, Vicki (Gary) Woods of Kimball; mother, Dorothy Scanlon of Maple Lake; brothers and sisters, Keith of Cohasset, Rosemary (Dale) Bakker of Bloomington, Daryl of Minneapolis, Clyde (Barb) of Monticello, Mike (Joyce) of Buffalo, Jackie (Dick) Wurm of Maple Lake, Jani (Gene) Kuhlman of Buffalo, Dianne (Dave) Ristau of Clear Lake; 12 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father; and sister in law, Audrey Scanlon.
Pallbearers will be Robbi Pribyl, Scott Starry, Kyle Wurm, Aaron, Andrew, and Adam Starry, and Christopher Woods. Honorary Pallbearers will be Staci Wurm, Alicia Starry, Tanya Pribyl, Kayla Starry, and Kelsi Woods. Music for the funeral provided by Krista Elsenpeter and Alison Totz.
