Shirley L. Johnson, age 88, of Annandale, Minnesota formerly of Altoona, Iowa, died Friday, February 11, 2022, at the Annandale Care Center.

A memorial service to celebrate Shirley's life will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Altoona United Methodist Church with Pastor John Gaulke officiating. Private family burial will follow at Altoona Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at the church. Memorials preferred to the Altoona United Methodist Church.

Shirley Louise Johnson was born February 19, 1933, in Woodhull, Illinois to Lloyd and Edith (Wilson) DeMoss. Shirley worked as a teller for numerous different banks. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Charles Johnson, Jody (Kevin) Kolstad, and Todd (Melissa) Johnson; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and other loving relatives and many special friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Wilbur Johnson; brother, Donald DeMoss; sisters, Betty Glasgow and Mary Ellen Johnson; and daughter, Cheryl Hashem.
