Obituary

Mrs. Shirley J. Bullock, age 80, of Maple Lake died Friday, January 23, 2004 at Howard Lake Good Samaritan Center.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, January 26, 2004 at St. Timothy`s Catholic Church, Maple Lake with Father Mark Huberty officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 3:00-5:00 p.m. Sunday and 8:00-10:00 a.m. Monday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Maple Lake. There will be a prayer service 4:30 p.m. Sunday.

Shirley Jane (Jude) Bullock was born March 25, 1923 in Maple Lake to Walter W. and Myrtle (Stuhr) Jude. Following graduation from Maple Lake High School in 1941, she attended Minnesota School of Business and worked in Minneapolis until her marriage to Len J. Bullock October 28, 1944. They were married 57 years. Together they farmed the Bullock homestead where she lived most of her life. Shirley was a homemaker, raised her family, and was an active member of St. Timothy`s Catholic Church. Shirley and Len were blessed with 3 children, Thomas J. of Maple Lake, Nancy (John) Paumen of Eden Prairie, Mary Ellen (Dennis) O`Brien of Seattle, WA. Her treasured grandchildren include Nicholle (Steve) Check of Eden Prairie, Eric (Jennifer) Paumen of Eagan, Emily Paumen of Eden Prairie, Matthew O`Brien of Warner Robins, GA, Will O`Brien of Seattle, WA, and Taylor O`Brien of Marysville, WA; great grandchildren Anna and Ben Check, and Alexander Paumen. An only child, she leaves behind her brother in law, Bishop William H. Bullock of Madison, WI; sisters in law, Gertrude Bullock of Buffalo, Mary Anne Geary of Maple Lake, Adelaide and Elizabeth Bullock both of Edina; and nieces and nephews. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, Len on May 1, 2002; in laws, Loren W. and Anne C. (Raiche) Bullock; brothers in law, Clifford Bullock, George Geary; and grandson, Benjamin O`Brien.

Music for the funeral provided by Marge Pavlik and St. Timothy`s Resurrection Choir.
Pallbearers will be Thomas Bullock, Eric Paumen, David Bullock, Jerry Stuhr, Jack Bredt, and Bud Williams.

Arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care, Maple Lake.
