Sheila E. Stumpf, age 73, of Maple Lake died Saturday, September 8, 2007 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at St. Timothy`s Catholic Church, Maple Lake with Fr. Michael Izen officiating. Burial will be at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Cemetery, Osseo. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Monday and 9-10 a.m. Tuesday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Maple Lake. There will be a prayer service 7 p.m. Monday.
Sheila Elaine Stumpf was born August 21, 1934 in Newport, New Hampshire to Franklin and Earlene (Goodwin) Blodgett. She served as a Wave in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Sheila married Richard F. Stumpf on June 19, 1954 in Great Lakes, Illinois and he preceded her in death on July 12, 1999. She was a member of St. Timothy`s Catholic Church, Maple Lake American Legion Post #131, & the Red Hat Society and enjoyed Karaoke and traveling.
She is survived by children, Linda Christopherson of Glendale, AZ, Wanda Stumpf of Monticello, Tanja Swanson of Rogers, Kenneth Stumpf of St. Cloud; brothers, Stanley (Ethel) Blodgett of Houston, TX, Stephen (Gloria) Blodgett of Newport, NH, sisters, Shirley Collins of Georges Mills, NH, Sharley LaValley of Claremont, NH, 4 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren. Her parents, husband, daughter, Gwen Kile, and sister, Sylvia Dandrea preceded her in death.
The pallbearers will be William & Billy Hammes, Christopher & Jake Stumpf, Bill Callery, Tom Knaus, and Michael Vann. The music for the service will be provided by St. Timothy`s Resurrection Choir with Marge Pavlik, organist. The arrangements were entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care of Maple Lake.
