Sandra L. Kunz , age 74, died on Thursday, Nov. 27, 2014, at the Annandale Care Center due to pneumonia and underlying health issues including COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease).

She is survived by her daughter, Lynne Fleming (James) of Monticello, son, Robert Kunz Jr. (Tiffany) and granddaughter Kayla of Salt Lake City, Utah; sister Diane (Ron) Johnston of Woodbury and brother Michael Cunningham of Richfield.

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, Henry (Hank) and Virginia Cunningham, husband Robert (Bob) Kunz , Sr. and son, Greg Kunz .

Sandra Lee Cunningham was born in 1940 in Minneapolis where she grew up and graduated from Bloomington High School in 1958. She was also Miss Bloomington that same year. She was united in marriage to Bo Kunz in 1960 and to this union three children were born. The family moved to Monticello the summer of 1968 to a hobby farm with acreage on Lake Ida. Sandy enjoyed being a full time housewife and raising her family in this country setting.  She enjoyed traveling, vegetable and flower gardening, riding horses, and snowmobiling with the family. She later became an antique dealer. After living in Monticello for 26 years and her husband's retirement in 1994, they moved to a lake home in the Brainerd Lakes area and then to Nisswa. After her husband's death from cancer in 2001, she began taking winter vacations south to oceanside settings in Hilton Head, SC and Tybee Island, GA. She purchased a home and moved to Savannah, GA in 2007 where she lived for three years. In 2010, due to health issues she moved back to Monticello to be near her daughter and family in Minnesota.

Sandy enjoyed being around people and made friends easily. She was very social, easygoing and had an upbeat attitude. She was one more concerned about others well being before her own. She was truly a giving and caring person.
