Sally M. Haag, age 74, of St. Cloud died Thursday, October 27, 2011 at the Annandale Care Center.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 31 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 2719 Third St N, St. Cloud with Rev. Bruce Timm officiating. Burial will follow at the Fair Haven Township Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale and at the Church one hour prior to services. There will be a prayer service 7 p.m. Sunday.
Sally Mae Haag was born February 12, 1937 at Kingston to Arnold and Emma (Hasty) Juusola. On June 9, 1956 she married Norman Lewis Haag in Cokato and they lived in Dassel, Kimball and Fair Haven area where they raised their nine children. Sally was a Licensed Practical Nurse and also a Health Care Administrator taking care of the needs of others for many years. She had a special devotion for developmentally handicapped persons. Most recently she worked for the St. Cloud School District helping out in the Community Education Department. Sally enjoyed spending as much time as possible with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and other family & friends. She loved playing bingo and attending fish fries. Over the years Sally touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and the Bible Study Group.
She is survived by her children Deb Mayer of Becker, Todd (Terri) of Annandale, Becky (Rick) Fischer of Annandale, Tim (Wendy) of South Haven, Tom of Kimball, Kim (Roger) Smoley of Sauk Rapids, Holly (Don) Linn of Maple Grove, Bruce (Michele) of Grand Rapids, Brian (Rose) of Annandale, brothers John (Pat) Juusola of Litchfield, Bill (Detta) Juusola of Maple Plain, sisters Mary (Steve) Davidson of Dassel, Karen (Elwood) Manninen of Annandale, Jane (Phil) Johnson of Plymouth, Martha (Jerry) Fitzloff of Kingston, 18 grandchildren Taylor Mayer, Tyler, Chloe & Caleb Haag, Mitch Nelson, Erica Haag, Kryston (Jeremy) Ludwig, Sheena & Danielle Haag, Logan Smoley, Christopher & Colby Linn, Hannah, Noah, Emma & Olivia Haag, Breanna & Spencer Haag, 3 great grandchildren Makenna Haag, Rian & Reese Nelson, also special person Robert Kampa of St. Cloud. She was preceded in death by her husband Norm on September 16, 1990 and infant granddaughter Ashley Haag.
Sally's grandsons will serve as the pallbearers and the honorary pallbearers will be Robert Kampa, Thomas Geiske, David Prom, Jason Kerr, Matt Sietz, Robert Scheindele and Brent Spicer. The arrangements were entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care of Annandale.
