Obituary
Mrs. Ruth O. Belz, age 93, of Annandale died Wednesday, March 24, 2004 at the Annandale Care Center.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 27, 2004 at St. John`s Lutheran Church, Annandale with Rev. Scott Jakel officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Annandale. Friends may call one hour prior to the funeral on Saturday at the church.
Ruth Olive Belz was born August 23, 1910 in Davis County, IA to Perley and Cora (Copeland) Greiner. She married Lawrence P. Belz November 11, 1928 in Iowa and he preceded her in death in November 1975. She was a homemaker and has lived in Annandale since 1966 where she was a member of St. John`s Lutheran Church. Ruth loved her family, gardening, and the outdoors.
Ruth is survived by a son, Carl (Glenda) Belz of St. Ansgar, IA; daughters, Evelyn Olson of Buffalo, and Sylvia (Malden) Olson of New Brighton; brother, Jim Greiner of Mason City, IA; sisters, Faye Severson of Austin, and Louise (Earl) Kirchgatter of St. Ansgar, IA; 17 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her son, Glenn; five brothers; and five sisters.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Jeffrey, Eugene, David, Tim, Wayne, Richard, and Dean Olson, Kevin, Kendall, Kelly, and Shannon Belz.
