Ruth G. Aarseth, age 77, of South Haven died Saturday, October 11 at the Abbott - Northwestern Hospital, Minneapolis.
Funeral services will held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday October 15, 2003 at St. John`s Lutheran Church, Annandale with Rev. David Doppenberg officiating. Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale and after 10:00 a.m. Wednesday morning at the church.
Ruth was born July 13, 1926 to Gehard and Clara (Harland) Baarstad in Nome, ND. She married Marvis O. Aarseth on April 18, 1947. She was employed by Milbrook Macaroni Factory and later at Stevens Square Nursing Home, both of Minneapolis. She has lived the past 14 years on Clearwater Lake, Annandale; previously living in Minneapolis. She was a member of St. John`s Lutheran Church and enjoyed puzzles, reading, fishing and caring for her flowers.
She is survived by her husband, Marvis of South Haven; son, Roger and his wife Phyllis of Minneapolis; 2 grandsons, Chris and his wife Shelby of Maple Grove and Tony of Minneapolis; 1 sister, Esther Jonasson and her husband Palmer of Mountain, ND; and 1 brother, Milton Baarstad and his wife Eloise of Fargo, ND. Four brothers, Gaylon, Lawrence, Edmund and Erling Baarstad preceded her in death.
