Russell A. Yanish, age 52, of Kimball died Monday, January 1, 2007 at the St. Cloud Hospital.
Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 6, 2007 at St. Anne Catholic Church, Kimball. Fr. Tom Knoblach will officiate and burial will be in St. Anne Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Friday at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Kimball and one hour prior to services Saturday at the church. A prayer service will be held 6:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Russell Albert Yanish was born September 25, 1954 in St. Cloud to Anthony and Clara (Janochoski) Yanish. He married Michelle Plotnik on March 27, 1998 in St. Cloud. Russ loved his birds, flowers, animals and being in the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and camping.
Russell is survived by his wife, Michelle; son, Justin; mother, Clara of Kimball; sisters and brothers, Sandra (Mohsen) Nardi-Najed of Portland, OR, Barbara (John) Ryder of Long Lake, Richard of Eden Valley, Michael of St. Cloud, Merlin of Ingram, TX, Kenneth of Kimball, Paul (Deb) of Kimball, Jim of Paynesville and Sharon (Brett) Sanford of Clear Lake. He is preceded in death by his father, Anthony and sister-in-law, Connie.
Pallbearers will be Justin Yanish, Danny Fletcher, Greg `Spock` Caird, Mark `Welby` Marschel, Gene Marschel and Eric Plotnik. Honorary pallbearers will be Richard, Michael, Merlin, Kenneth, Paul and Jim Yanish. Joan Zongo, organist and St. Anne`s Choir will provide the music for the service.
