Russell T. Stuhr, age 80, of Maple Lake died Thursday, December 25, 2008 at the Annandale Care Center.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 29, 2008 at St. Timothy's Catholic Church, Maple Lake with Fr. Michael Izen officiating. Burial will follow in St. Timothy's Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call from 3-7 p.m. Sunday and 9-10 a.m. Monday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Maple Lake. There will be a prayer service 6:30 p.m. Sunday.
Russell Thomas Stuhr was born November 27, 1928 in Maple Lake Township, Wright County to Harry, Sr. and Mabel (Smith) Stuhr. He married Kathleen Fitzgerald on May 21, 1949 in St. Paul and she preceded him in death on October 31, 1992. Beginning at age thirteen, Russ was a livestock trucker to South Saint Paul and backhauler of freight to Wright County. He was a member of St. Timothy's Church.
He is survived by his children & their spouses, Kay & Duane Johnson of Annandale, Karen Langanki of Monticello, Thomas & Jill Stuhr of Phoenix, AZ, Debra & Joe Pribyl of Forest Lake; sister, Naomi (Donald) Fobbe of Maple Lake; brothers, Gerry (Glady) of Annandale, Harry, Jr. (Judy) of Maple Lake, Kenneth (Consuelo) of Big Lake; 14 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy; brother, Jack; sons in law, Larry Mares & Lester Langanki; and an infant granddaughter.
The pallbearers will be Matthew Langanki, Steve Langanki, Jacob Pribyl, Russell Stuhr, Kevin Abfalter,and Sam Burvee.The music for the service will be provided by Marge Pavlik, organist and the St. Timothy's Resurrection Choir. The arrangements were entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care of Maple Lake.
