Ronald M. "Archie" Klein, age 64, of Maple Lake died Friday, June 1, 2007 in Annandale.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at Zion Lutheran Church, Annandale. Rev. David Fretham will officiate and burial will be in Corinna Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Monday at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church. A prayer service will be held at 6:30 Monday at the funeral home.
Ronald M. "Archie" Klein was born July 20, 1942 in St. Cloud. He grew up and was raised in an orphanage and foster home in St. Cloud. Ron married Faye Klemz on October 26, 1963 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, St. Cloud. He worked many places over the years, including St. Cloud Granite Sheds, Matthew Lumber in St. Cloud and Paper Calmenson in Minneapolis. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Annandale. Archie enjoyed bird watching, playing quarter crane games for stuffed toys, collecting baseball caps and John Deere memorabilia. He was everyone's helper and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Ron is survived by his wife, Faye; daughter, Melanie of Maple Lake; son and his wife, Tony and Bonnie of Monticello; grandchildren, Christopher, Naomi, Melissa and Jessica; father and mother-in-law, Lloyd and Hayde Klemz of Annandale; and numerous friends and relatives. His brother-in-law, Gary Klemz; and nephew, Todd Klemz preceded him in death.
Pallbearers will be Daniel James, Barry James, Gene Stueven, Chuck Barnes, Dale Wagner, Merle Marohn, Brad Bouska and Harold Uecker. Julie Starke, organist and Pat Freiberg, soloist will provide the music for the service. Arrangements are entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care, Annandale.
