Ronald L. Hukriede, age 80, of Annandale died Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at the North Memorial Residential Hospice, Brooklyn Center.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 5, 2012 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Annandale with Rev. Dave Nelson officiating. Burial will follow at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. Sunday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale and at the Church one hour prior to services. There will be a prayer service 4 p.m. Sunday. Memorials are preferred to St. John's Lutheran Church.
Ronald LeRoy Hukriede was born March 6, 1931 at Eden Valley to Otto and Alma (Luedtke) Hukriede. He served his Country during the Korean War and graduated from Dunwoody Institute. He married Darlene Janicke on December 28, 1956 and for the past 21 years they have lived on Sugar Lake. Ron was an underground fault locator for Northern States Power Company for 35 years. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and enjoyed hunting, traveling, Sudoku, and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Darlene of Annandale, daughter Janelle (Rick) Hazuka of Monticello, son in law Ron Berzins of Clearwater, six grandchildren Christine, John & Renee Hazuka, Stephanie, Rebecca & Nadeen Berzins, brothers & sister Vernon (Mary Ann) of Richmond, Adeline (Lowell) Neumann of Apache Junction, AZ, Russell (Judy) of Grand Rapids, Wayne (Liz) of Minneapolis, and sister in law Mary Hukriede of Richmond. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Kathy Berzins, brothers Gordon & Arthur, and sister Viola Pratt.
The pallbearers will be John Hazuka, Randy Hukriede, Gary & Gale Smith, Marv & Jerry Janicke. The organist will be Orma Lou Jacobsma and the arrangements were entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care of Annandale.
