Obituary
Ronald G. Hiemstra, age 62, of 9482 120th Street NW, Annandale died Friday, August 29, 2003 at his home.
Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 3, 2003 at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale with Rev. David Doppenberg officiating. Burial will follow in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Annandale. Friends may call one hour prior to services on Wednesday.
Ronald Gene Hiemstra was born May 28, 1941 at Geddes, SD to Zipke and Jeannette (Blodsoe) Hiemstra. He married Sandra Thompson on June 30, 1967. He was an independent trucker and has lived at Annandale the past 22 years, previously living in Lexington. He enjoyed his antique tractors, hunting, and shooting sports.
He is survived by his wife, Sandy of Annandale; 2 sons & daughters in law, Craig & Lorrie of Maple Lake, Frank & Beth of Buffalo; 2 grandchildren, Logan & Erin of Maple Lake; his mother, Jeannette Hiemstra of Cameron, WI; sisters, brother, & their spouses, Becky & Max Schoenrock of Platte, SD, Norma Hiemstra of Tucson, AZ, Floyd & Millie Hiemstra of Turtle Lake, WI, Patricia Hiemstra of Turtle Lake, WI, and Shelby Ottersetter of Las Vegas, NV. His father and 2 brothers, Jerry and Junior preceded him in death.
