Roger A. Walberg, age 74, of Aitkin, formerly of Brooklyn Park, died Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at Golden Valley Rehabilitation & Care Center.

Funeral Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 10, 2014 at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale. Visitation will be held from 3:00-5:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home, as well as one hour prior to the service on Monday. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Pastor Randy Stauter will officiate.

Roger Alden Walberg was born on September 28, 1939 in French Lake Township to Alden Ferdinand & Ruby Caroline (Anderson) Walberg. He attended school at Annandale, graduating with the class of 1957. Roger was united in marriage to Annette R. Hammer on June 25, 1960 in Albert Lea. After graduation, Roger began a 30 year career with KP Manufacturing. He then worked for Parabody and finally, Life Fitness where he retired in 2001. Roger and Annette were members of Glen Community Church in Glen, MN as well as Forever Young in Aitkin. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, wood carving, collecting fishing lures, playing cribbage, and watching the Game Show Network. He enjoyed the time he and Annette spent in Mission, Texas. Above all, Roger treasured the time he was able to spend with his family.

Roger is survived by his wife of 53 years, Annette, of Aitkin; children, Richard (Brenda) of Coon Rapids, Beth (Dan) Snell of Lino Lakes, Loren (Georgi) of Ramsey, and Bruce (fiancé, Lonna Wilson) of Minneapolis; 11 grandchildren, Jessica, Travis, Kyle, Erin, Elissa, Jake, Jared, Justin, John, Megan, and Noah; 8 great grandchildren; siblings, Marvin of Waite Park, Howard (Cheri) of Annandale, and Dennis of Annandale; parents-in-law, Clifford and Betty Hammer. Roger is preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law, Joan Walberg.

Travis Walberg, Kyle Walberg, John Walberg, Jake Siegler, Craig Wahlberg, Josh Schnell and Noah Shonyo will serve as pallbearers.
