Rodney J. Sohn, age 59, of Annandale, died unexpectedly on Saturday, August 12, 2023.

A remembrance service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 21, 2023, at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Annandale with visitation one hour prior to the service.

Rodney James Sohn was born October 5, 1963, in Blue Earth, Minnesota to James and Donna (DeSart) Sohn. He grew up in Blue Earth and graduated from Blue Earth High School. After school, he worked for over 30 years for Capital Beverage Sales out of Rogers. On August 1, 2015, Rod was united in marriage to Laura Strege at their cabin. They lived in Otsego, but they spent most of their time at the cabin on Lake Augusta near South Haven. Laura and Rod had recently moved to Sugar Lake in Annandale. Rod enjoyed time at the cabin, boats, classic cars, watching sports, grilling, and spending time with his many friends.

He is survived by his wife, Laura Sohn of Annandale; sons, Brandon Sohn of Cannon Falls and Andrew Sohn of Maplewood; mother, Donna Sohn of Blue Earth; sisters, Vicky (Phil) Driscoll of Tega Cay, SC and Carla (Jim) Wagner of Guckeen; mother-in-law, Norma Strege of Sartell; father-in-law, Ron Strege of Mission, TX; sister-in-law, Lisa (Greg) Brasel of St. Cloud; cats, Stella and Norm; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, James Sohn.
