Obituary
Robert J. Schroeder, age 59 of Annandale died Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at Golden Living Center, Delano after a 2 year battle with cancer.
Memoral Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 27, 2010 at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale with Rev. DJ Lura officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
Robert James Schroeder was born October 1, 1950 in Fridley to Harold B. and Mary T. (Linsmeier) Schroeder. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1968 - 1971. On April 19, 1986, Bob married Judy Switzenberg in Buffalo. In February of 2001, Bob completed chemotherapy and was cancer free for 7 years. In 2008, his cancer returned and he battled back for 2 years. Bob enjoyed yard work and liked to party. Known as Rotten Robert, he will always be remembered for his kind nature and great sense of humor.
He is survived by his wife, Judy; son, Trent; step children, Stephanie, Todd and Shawn; sisters and brothers, Karen Nauer of Shoreview, Bill & his wife, Cheri of Blaine, Steve of Brooklyn Park and Pam of Duluth. Bob is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Rick.
