Robert M. Schmidt, age 59, of South Haven died Friday, December 22, 2006 at his home.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 27, 2006 at the Annandale United Methodist Church with Rev. Marilee Benson officiating. Burial will follow in Acacia Cemetery, Clearwater. Friends may call after 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Church. The arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care of Annandale.
Robert Melroy Schmidt was born July 19, 1947 in St. Cloud to Henry and Helen (Dick) Schmidt. He was a painting contractor for the past 38 years, owning & operating Robert's Painting. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time at his Scandi Lake home near Glenwood.
He is survived by his former wife, Mary (Herman) Dieger of Sauk Rapids; daughter, Jackie Thaemert & her husband Tim of Sauk Rapids, special companion, Evelyn DeSmet of St. Joseph; grandsons, Nick & Justin Thaemert; brother, Marvin & his wife Mary of Grand Rapids; sister, Violet Bentley & her husband Butch of Clearwater. His parents and brother, Melvin preceded him in death.
