Mr. Robert T. Keller, age 74, of Annandale died Thursday, August 28, 2003 at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 3, 2003 at Annandale United Methodist Church with Rev. Marilee Benson officiating. Burial will follow in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis. Friends may call 4-8 pm Tuesday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale and one hour prior to the funeral on Wednesday at the church. There will be a prayer service 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Robert Thomas Keller was born July 29, 1929 in Laramie, WY to Nicholas and Helen (Hansen) Keller. He married Wanda L. Ernst May 26, 1951 in Elizabeth City, NC. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. Robert owned and operated Gulf and King Gas Service Stations in Minneapolis and St. Paul. Most recently he operated a pet cremation service and retired in 2000. He lived in Minneapolis before moving to Granite Lake, rural Annandale in 1968. He was a member of the St. Cloud VFW Post #4847 where he was active in the Military Order of Cooties, and the Maple Lake American Legion Post #131. Robert loved his family, animals, horses, fishing, being actively involved with the VFW, and all the activities on Granite Lake.
Robert is survived by his wife, Wanda of Annandale; daughters, Cynthia (John) Leach of Golden Valley, Michelle of Annandale; son Robert Jr. (Beth) of Ellsworth, WI; sister, Marion Meyers of Scottsdale, AZ; four grandchildren & four great grandchildren. His parents and infant son, Nicholas Leo preceded him in death.
