Robert Joseph 'Bob' Copeland, Jr. was born in St. Cloud on July 12, 1956 to Robert Copeland Sr. and Monica (Loch, Copeland) Thomsen. Bob was united in marriage to Kelli Bestland on February 11, 1989 at Zion Lutheran Church in Buffalo. He was employed for more than 30 years at C.S. McCrossan in Maple Grove as Superintendent of the Water and Sewer Division.
Bob had many loves in his life. His first and greatest love was for his family. He could not have been a more loving husband and father; and to his sisters, he was the best. He was a great jokester, never missing an opportunity to play a joke on one of his sisters, their spouses or any of his friends. He loved to hunt, fish and travel. He thoroughly enjoyed the "Copeland Family" excursions to unique little places that were filled with sister time, lots of fun and many great memories. He got more enjoyment out of helping others, than doing for himself.
Bob is survived by his wife, Kelli; son, Robert III 'Bobby Joe' of Monticello; daughters, Jill Johnson (fiancAC., Tim Smedberg) of Superior, WI and Misty Copeland of Fridley; granddaughter, Madison Ava; sisters, Mary (Don) Super of St. Cloud, Kay (Bob) Lucas of West Bend, WI, Janet (Donnie) Price of Wilmington, NC, Kelly Copeland of St. Louis Park, Annette (Brent) McClellan of Montrose; and numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces. He is preceded in death by his father, Bob on September 16, 1992 and mother, Monica on December 27, 2005.
Pallbearers will be Frankie Couette, Doug Starry, Lorni Manuel, Dan Samuelson, Lyn Scholer, Darrin Agnew, Kirk Super, Jamie Lucas and Jeff Lucas. Krista Elsenpeter Tarbox and Sarah Goelz will provide the music for the service. Arrangements are entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care, Maple Lake.
