Obituary

Robert L. Cantin, age 71, of 2535 Grover Ave. NW, Maple Lake died Tuesday, November 25, 2003 at the Buffalo Hospital.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 29, 2003 at Bethlehem United Church of Christ, Maple Lake with Rev. David Martens officiating. Interment will be in St. Charles Cemetery, Chatham Township, Wright County. Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Friday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Maple Lake and one hour prior to services at the church. There will be a prayer service 6:30 p.m. Friday.

Robert Leo Cantin was born November 2, 1932 at Buffalo to Leo and Marie (Hansen) Cantin. He married Judith L. Rudolph on January 18, 1964 and she preceded him in death on October 1, 2000. He was employed by Specialty Manufacturing, St. Paul for 26 years, retiring as shop foreman. He lived all of his lifetime at Maple Lake where he was a member of Bethlehem United Church of Christ. He enjoyed cooking, baking bread, and keeping busy with farm and yard work.

He is survived by his children, Robert, Jr. of Monticello, Dawn Miller of Maple Lake, Scott of Annandale, Dan of Buffalo; six grandchildren, Dillon, Alex, Kayla, & Travys Cantin, Kylie Matter, & Nicholas Nieber; brothers, sisters, & their spouses, Donna & Floyd Sawatzke of Maple Lake, Morrie & Ruth of Richfield, Jim & Bobbi of Big Lake, Jerry & Shirley of Maple Lake, Delores Rand of Bloomington, Mary Ann Schwab of Brooklyn Park.

The pallbearers will be Robert Cantin, Jr., Scott Cantin, Dan Cantin, Mike Sawatzke, Jerry Sawatzke, and Chuck Sawatzke. The organist will be Pearl Lieb.
