Robert 'Dob' Borman, age 73, of Bloomington died Monday, March 15, 2010 at Fairview Southdale Hospital, Edina.
Friends may call after 1 p.m. with Funeral Services held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 18, 2010 at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Kimball. Pastor Luke C. Nelson will officiate and burial will follow at the Kimball Cemetery.
Robert Jessmer 'Dob' Borman was born January 1, 1937 to Peter and Eva (Boggs) Borman. He graduated from Kimball High School in 1954 and then attended St. Cloud State University. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked for Onan Generator Corporation and then for Holiday Stores. He was a member of Union Local #653 and enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling & gospel music.
He is survived by his wife Muriel of Bloomington, step daughter Lynn (Richard) Christopherson of Eagan, step son Donald Berry of Rosemount, step grandson Jeff (Tanya) Watkins of Fargo, and brother Jerry (Doris) Borman of Morton. His parents, sister Alyce McKinnon and brother Jack Borman preceded him in death.
