Richard E. Mozingo, age 64, of Annandale died Sunday, September 6, 2015 at the V.A. Medical Center in Minneapolis.

Funeral Services will be held 3:00 p.m. Thursday, September 10, 2015 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Annandale with Rev. Dave Nelson officiating.  Burial will follow at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, Thursday, at the church.

Richard Earl Mozingo was born November 7, 1950 in Greensburg, Indiana to Cecil and Clara (Daniels) Mozingo.  He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War; he was awarded the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart.  On December 27, 1986, Richard was united in marriage to Sally Kay Dietz at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Annandale.  He enjoyed pencil drawing, classic cars, camping and spending time in the outdoors.

Richard is survived by his wife Sally of Annandale; seven children Donny Mozingo of Hawaii, Belinda (Jason) Carroll of Lawrenceville, GA, Cecil (Melanie) Mozingo of Minneapolis, Sean (Kate) Bencker of South Haven, Norene Mozingo of Hinesville, GA, Bobby Mozingo of Ludowici, GA and Ken (Melissa) Bencker of South St. Paul; eleven grandchildren Savannah, Mary, Amber, Autumn, Michael, Logan, Matthew, Kaylee, Carol, Megan and Lucy; and sister Clara (Lewis) Elliot of Greensburg, IN.  He is preceded in death by his parents Cecil and Clara Mozingo and brothers Alvin Mozingo and Robert Mozingo

Casket Bearers will be Timmy Scheer, Jimmy Biggs, Randy McClanahan, Daren Dillon, Tommy McClanahan and Steven Lies.  Honorary Casket Bearers will be Matthew, Carol, Megan and Kaylee Bencker, Lucy Mozingo, Bryce and Isaac Lies.  Orma Lou Jacobsma will provide the music for the service.  Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Annandale.
