Richard L. Haas, age 76, of Maple Lake, died Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at his home. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Buffalo with Pastor Ryan Clark officiating. The funeral will be livestreamed on the funeral home website. Visitation will take place from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Maple Lake and one hour prior to the service on Thursday, at the church. A prayer service will be held at 4:15 p.m. at the funeral chapel. Burial will take place 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 8, at Roselawn Cemetery in Roseville. Richard Lawrence Haas was born April 22, 1945 in St. Cloud to Lawrence and Doris (Walbridge) Haas. He graduated with the Class of 1963 from North High School in North St. Paul and continued his education at St. Paul Area Vocational Technical Institute. Richard served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. On June 17, 1972, he was united in marriage to Karen Schuster at Jehovah Lutheran Church in St. Paul. Richard worked as an electrician for several years, prior to working for the Minnesota State Board of Electricity for 25 years as an electrical inspector. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Buffalo. Richard enjoyed tinkering, wood working, and puzzles. He is survived by his son, Terry of Maple Lake; daughter, Patricia (James) Levin of Zimmerman; grandson, Nicolas Levin; sisters, LaVonne Wirl of Coon Rapids, Sharon (Donald) Dornfeld of Stillwater, and Debra (David) Seledic of Minneapolis; and many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Karen; and parents, Lawrence and Doris Haas. The casket bearers will be Paul and Gary Mueller, Tom Wilson, Don Dornfeld, Jr., Dennis, Clair and Craig Schuster, Sheryl Wells, Kathy Krier, Luanne Jaskowiak, and Nic Levin.
