Richard John Grossinger was born in Litchfield, Minnesota on August 8, 1948, to Edwin and Irene (Gabrelcik) Grossinger. He spent his early years in North Kingston and was a 1966 graduate of Kimball High School. For 38 years, Rich worked for Hitchcock Industries in Bloomington.
Rich was united in marriage to Judith Triplett. They made their home in the Annandale area, where they raised their three sons. Although he and Judi would later part ways, the bond they shared brought them back together over the years.
Rich found solace in the great outdoors, often spending his free time fishing. He loved the companionship of his two pugs, Puggy and Patch. Rich also liked to try his luck at the blackjack table.
Rich is survived by his sons, Monte Grossinger (Tammy Harvey) of Deer Creek, Troy Grossinger (Melissa Sunderman) of Rockford; and Chris (Jennifer) Grossinger of Winsted; grandchildren, Jessi Doll, Grant, Samuel (Paige), Isabelle, Lilyanna, Logan (fiancee Katie Beck), and Cody (Sophie) Grossinger; great-grandchildren, Maggie, Jace, John, and Delilah; siblings, Betty (Jim) Maly of Nashwauk and Dale Grossinger of Watkins; sisters-in-law, Cheryl Grossinger of South Haven and Nancy Grossinger of Watkins; and nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Judi; and brothers, Don, Bob, Ralph, and Willard.
Rich's grandchildren will serve as casket bearers. Arrangements entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care Burial and Cremation Services of Annandale.
