Richard O. Erlandson, age 95, of Whittier, California, formerly of Balaton, Minnesota, died on August 18, 2016.

Memorial Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Annandale with Rev. David Nelson officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be thirty minutes prior to the service at the funeral chapel.

Richard Otto Erlandson was born July 26, 1921 in Balaton, Minnesota to Otto and Ethel (Rosen) Erlandson. He graduated with the Class of 1939 from Balaton High School. On September 6, 1947, Dick was united in marriage to Beatrice Ann Howard in Annandale. He was Baptized in Christ on November 21, 1948 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Minneapolis. Dick worked as a Senior Buyer at Honeywell for 44 years. He was a member of St. Andrews Lutheran Church in Whittier.  Dick enjoyed to fish, travel, rooting for the LA Dodgers, a good meal with friends & family and a nice scotch.

Dick is survived by his son Dean of Kansas City, MO; grandchildren George and Richard; brother Dr. Charles; and sister-in-law Alice Howard. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife of over 50 years Beatrice; brothers Donald and Bob; daughter in-law Linda; and many he loved and who loved him.

Memorials are preferred to the Interfaith Food Center of Santa Fe Springs; California. Erik Erlandson and Sarah Goelz will provide the music for the service.  Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Annandale.
