Richard J. Anderson, age 55, of Duluth died November 24, 2007 at his residence.
Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 27, 2007 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Annandale with Rev. DJ Lura officiating. Interment will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Monday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale and one hour prior to services at the Church. There will be a prayer service 6:30 p.m. Monday.
Richard James Anderson was born April 18, 1952 in St. Cloud to Oscar and Henrietta (Sterriker) Anderson. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church, Annandale. In 1970 he graduated from Annandale High School and in 2002 from the University of Wisconsin, Superior with a BA degree in Social Work. He was employed by Mattson Well Drilling, Howard Lake and then Industrial Louvers, Delano.
He is survived by his mother, Henrietta 'Penny' Anderson of Annandale; sister, Marlyne (Warren) Cadwell & their children, Melanie & Philip, all of Oklahoma City; aunt, Irene Patenaude of St. Cloud; Uncles, James Sterriker of Excelsior, Victor Miller of Howard Lake; special friend, Carol Gauthier of Duluth; also many cousins and friends. His father and grandparents, James & Josephine Sterriker and Julius & Annie Anderson preceded him in death.
The honorary pallbearers will be Kevin, Ted & Virgil Miller, Glen Johnson and Scott Seanor. Orma Lou Jacobsma will provide the music for the service and the arrangements were entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care.
