Rebecca A. Foreman, age 54 of Maple Lake, died Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at her home after a six month battle with cancer.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 2, 2010 at Silver Creek Community Church. Pastor Ben McEachern will officiate and burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Maple Lake and one hour prior to services, Friday at the church. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Rebecca Ann Foreman was born March 7, 1956 in Buffalo to Raymond and Lucile (Vandergon) Schermer. She graduated from Annandale High School with the Class of 1974 and went on to receive an A.A. degree in Administrative Assistant Training from St. Cloud Technical College. On December 27, 1980, Becky was married to Douglas Foreman at the Silver Creek Reformed Church. She worked a number of office jobs, served as a Pastor's wife, milked cows on the family farm, and was a Family Support Specialist for Catholic Charities. Church membership and her Christian faith were central to Becky. She was currently an active member of Northridge Fellowship in Rogers. She also served with Lucky Loons 4H of Wright County and Y.E.A.H., a homeschooling cooperative. In 2002, she wrote a book about the adoption of her son; it was titled "We Have a Baby for You." She enjoyed gardening, canning, sewing, traveling, softball and music. Becky was a devoted wife and mother extraordinaire. She was kind hearted, caring and had a gentle spirit. Becky touched the lives of many people right to the end.

She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Doug; children, Alissa, Tatyana, Vladimir "Ted", Tyler and Klavdia "Klava"; sisters and brothers, Sandy (Jon) Thomas of Maple Lake, Terry (Susan) Schermer of Annandale, Paul (Rhonda) Schermer of Maple Lake and Heidi (Kevin) Greniger of Maple Lake.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Foreman, Vladimir "Ted" Foreman, Ian Greniger, Christopher Schermer, Phillip Thomas and David Schermer. Arrangements are entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care, Maple Lake.
