Obituary
Ray Hawkins, 89, passed away Friday, November 14, 2008 at the Sunset Manor Nursing Home in Brush, CO.
A memorial service will be held 12:00 noon, Saturday, November 22, 2008 at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Kimball. Friends may call one hour prior to the service, Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials are preferred to the Ray Hawkins Memorial Fund c/o Heer Mortuary, 222 Cameron Street, Brush, CO 80723.
Ray Hawkins was born October 1, 1919, in Benson, MN, to Daniel O. & Goldie Hawkins. He served in the U S Army during WWII. On July 29, 1950, Ray married Joanne Lieske in St. Paul, MN. Prior to retirement, Ray worked as a Parts Inspector for Honeywell Corporation. In 1999 Ray & Joanne moved to Brush, CO. He enjoyed fishing and working in his yard and garden.
Survivors include his wife, Joanne, of Brush, CO; 3 children, Pamela Beckius of Jordan, MN, Gregory Hawkins of Delano, MN, Terri Ann Hawkins, of Phoenix, AZ; 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Goldie; sister, Marie Linn; and brothers, Gary & Bud.
Arrangements are entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care, Kimball and Heer Mortuary, Brush, CO.
