Randy F. Ecker, age 71, of Kimball, died Friday, January 28, 2022 at the St. Cloud Hospital. A public memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 7, 2022, at Zion United Methodist Church in South Haven with visitation one hour prior. Pastor Lori Artner will officiate. The service will be livestreamed on the funeral home website. A private scattering ceremony will take place later in the year at Randy's farm in North Kingston Township. Randy Frank Ecker was born March 2, 1950 in St. Cloud to Ernest and Ruth (Leppa) Ecker. He grew up in Kimball, graduating from Kimball High School with the Class of 1968. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. After his service, he continued his education at Dunwoody to be an electrician. He lived in Maple Grove and worked as a Union Electrician for numerous different contractors. Upon his retirement, he moved back to the Kimball area. Randy enjoyed wood working, motorcycling, driving his Corvette, collecting Native American artifacts, and hanging out with his dog. He is survived by his grandchildren, Ella and Faith Ecker; daughter-in-law, Kelly Hanson; sister, Karen Monaghan of Villeneuve Les Avignon, France; brothers, Robert Ecker of Litchfield and Richard (Dory) Ecker of Richmond; aunt, Maymie Ecker of Kimball; ex-wife, Peggy Ecker; and many other relatives and friends.
