Randolph Donald Nordling, age 73, of South Haven, formerly of Minneapolis, died January 20, 2025, at the St. Cloud Hospital. A celebration to honor Randy's life will be held from 1-4 p.m. on Monday, February 10, 2025, at The Waterfront Lakeside Grille in South Haven with a time of sharing at 2:00 p.m. Interment will take place at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 10 at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery near Little Falls. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers to the Coast Guard Mutual Assistance. Randy was born to Donald Sr. and Vivian (Solem) Nordling on April 21, 1951, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He grew up in Minneapolis until he enlisted in the United States Army in 1968. He later enlisted in the United States Coast Guard until his retirement as a Chief Petty Officer in 1989. On February 11, 1977, Randy was married to Theresa Stone at Salem Covenant Church in New Brighton. Randy was stationed all over the U.S. and the world, growing his family along the way. Randy loved his time spent with family and friends. From camping trips, water parks with the grandkids, to family gatherings at the lake. He was an enthusiastic Minnesota sports fan and could be often found cheering on his favorite teams with his closest friends. Randy's passing leaves a void that will be felt by many. His kindness, wisdom, and warmth touched the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be remembered as a man of integrity, compassion, and unwavering strength. Randy will forever remain in the hearts of his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. Randy is survived by wife, Theresa of South Haven; children, Timothy (Teresa) of Amarillo TX, Jeffrey (Angela) of Oak Grove, Chad (Kristy) of St. Cloud, Dayna (Brandon) O'Brien of Big Lake, and Frank (Tiffany) of Coon Rapids; 16 grandchildren, Kyle, Travis, Catherine and their mother Jodi, Ariel, Allan, Andrew, Tara, Ashley, Danielle (Cody), Jacob, Ruby, Corey, Westin, William, Landon and Henley; great-grandchildren, Everly and Camden; five brothers and one sister; and many more special family and friends. Randy was proceeded in death by his parents, and brother, Kim.
