Ralph M. Meyer, age 96 of Annandale died Thursday, April 16, 2009 at the Buffalo Hospital.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 20, 2009 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Annandale. Fr. Jacob Yali will officiate and burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Annandale. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church.
Ralph Michael Meyer was born April 15, 1913 in New Munich to William and Anna (Vogel) Meyer. He married Olivia Adrian on June 19, 1937 in North Dakota. Ralph worked as a Manager at Lyman Lumber Company for many years. He was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Ralph enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Olivia; children, JoAnn (Jack) Ledwein of Annandale, Ronald (Mary) of Maple Plain and Janice (Dan) Goeman of Monticello; sisters and brothers, Evelyn (Ed) Hopper of Bayonet, FL and Hilda Voight of El Cajon, CA; 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Urban; and sisters, Marie Harrier and Vern Schwagel. Friends and family may visit Olivia at Parkview Care Center, Buffalo.
Urnbearers will be JoAnn Ledwein, Ronald Meyer and Janice Goeman. The St. Ignatius Guitar Group will provide the music for the service. Arrangements are entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care, Annandale.
