Philip B. Bendtsen, age 80, of Sartell, formerly of Kimball, died Sunday, December 18, 2016 in Idaho after a commercial vehicle accident.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 22, 2017 at the Kimball Cemetery in Kimball, Minnesota. Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Kimball.
Philip Bernard Bendtsen was born July 28, 1936 in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota to William and Esther (Schmidt) Bendtsen. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force. Philip farmed with his parents for most of his life. For the last 30 years, Philip worked as an over the road truck driver. He enjoyed farming and driving.
Philip is survived by his longtime companion Beverly Thompson of Sartell; sisters Joan Hager of Lakeville and Phyllis (James) Ryman of Anoka; sister-in-law Della Bendtsen; nieces Deborah Winter and Sheila Henzlik; nephews Tim Ryman, Robert, David and Mike Green; and several great nieces and great nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents William and Esther Bendtsen; brother Robert Bendtsen; and brother-in-law Victor Hager.
