Peter A. Malmberg, age 61, of Annandale died Tuesday, February 1, 2005 at his home on Pleasant Lake after a long struggle with cancer.


Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 5, 2005 at St. John`s Lutheran Church, Annandale with AiM Signe Gray, officiating. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Friday and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. John`s Lutheran Church. There will be a prayer service 7 pm on Friday.


Peter Arthur Malmberg was born April 18, 1943 in Niagara Falls, NY to Arvid and Olyve Mae (Coutts) Malmberg. He grew up in Tucson, AZ and has lived the past 20 years in Annandale. He married Linda M. Esch on May 26, 1979 in Pittsburg, KS. He was involved in special education for over 40 years, locally as Director of Special Education for Meeker-Wright Special Education Cooperative. Peter was passionate about his work and active in church and community.


He is survived by his wife, Linda of Annandale; children, Peter, Jr. & his wife, Heather Lynn of Perry, IA, Heather Greenfield & her husband, Troy of Kansas City, MO, Brandon of Redondo Beach, CA, Michael of New York, NY, and Matthew of St. Paul; brother, Paul & his wife, Robyn of Olympia, WA; and 3 grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to Hope Lodge, Cleveland OH, Angel Flight Central, or Northern Voices.
