Pearl M. Knute, age 85, of Annandale died Saturday, November 25, 2006 in Maple Lake surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 28, 2006 at Zion Lutheran Church, Annandale. Rev. Thomas Queck will officiate and burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Annandale. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Monday and one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the church. A prayer service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the church.
Pearl M. Knute was born May 25, 1921 in Waverly to Charles and Fannie (Herron) Hill. She graduated from Annandale High School in 1940. Pearl married Arnold H. Knute on October 13, 1940 in Corinna Township and he preceded her in death on February 10, 1990. She worked as a nurses aide at Park View Care Center, Buffalo and Madden`s Home in South Haven; she also worked as a cook at Dots CafAC. and Frontier CafAC. in Annandale, retiring in 1981. Pearl is a member of Zion Lutheran Church, where she was a former member of the LWML. She also was a former member of the Annandale VFW Auxillary. Pearl enjoyed sewing, quilting, playing cards, and sharing stories with family and friends.
Pearl is survived by her two sons and their wives, Ellis and Linda of Maple Lake and Dwight and Karen of Bemidji; two brothers, Phillip Hill of Two Harbors and Everett Hill and wife, Margaret of Florence, AZ; 6 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. Her parents; husband; 2 sisters; 7 brothers; and grandson, Lance Knute preceded her in death.
Pallbearers for the service will be Todd, David, Sky and Michael Knute, Terrie Karg, and Damian Heairet. Julie Starkey, organist and Laura Thurk, soloist will provide the music for the service. Arrangements were made by Dingmann Funeral Care, Annandale.
