Patrick J. Hannon, age 64, of Big Lake, formerly of Maple Lake died Thanksgiving Day at the Stevens Community Medical Center, Morris as a result of an accidental fall.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 27, 2006 at St. Timothy`s Catholic Church, Maple Lake with Fr. Mark Huberty officiating. Burial will follow in St. Timothy`s Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. Sunday and 9-10 a.m. Monday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Maple Lake. There will be a prayer service 6:30 p.m. Sunday.
Patrick John Hannon was born May 12, 1942 in San Diego, CA to Robert and Lillian (St. Peter) Hannon. He lived most of his life in Maple Lake and was a truck driver for Nugent, Minnesota-Wisconsin, Quast & had retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 2005. He married Mildred (DeMarais) Wurm on August 7, 1999 in Maple Lake and since then they have lived in Big Lake. Pat was a member of St. Timothy`s Church and the Teamster`s Union. He had many friends and he enjoyed visiting with them and family, especially his grandchildren. Both as a participant and spectator, Pat was a sports enthusiast.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred of Big Lake; daughters, Diana Braun of Sartell, Heidi Goelz of Maple Lake; son, Joseph Hannon & his wife Jolene of Maple Lake; step children, Alfred (Catherine) Wurm of Maple Lake, Cheryl (Todd) Thomas of Oak Ridge, TN, John Wurm of Maple Lake, Edward Wurm of Maple Lake, Karen (Joseph) Fobbe of Long Grove, IL; sisters, Marge (Jim) Peterson of Maple Lake, Terry (Ben) Jude of Maple Lake, Casey (Dan) Sayles of Morris; 8 grandchildren; 10 step grandchildren; and 1 step great grandson. His parents, stepson, Joseph Wurm and nephew, Noah Sayles preceded him in death.
The pallbearers will be Mike, John, & Dan Peterson, Jim & Todd Jude, Robert, Kirby & Toby Sayles. The honorary pallbearers will be Dave & Trent Braun, Robert, Emily, Elizabeth & Erika Hannon, Holly & Tony Goelz. The music for the service will be provided by Krista Elsenpeter Tarbox and Sarah Goelz. The arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care of Maple Lake.
