Patrick J. Casey, age 81, of Annandale died Monday, May 7, 2012 at the Buffalo Hospital.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 11, 2012 at St. Timothy Catholic Church, Maple Lake with Fr. John Meyer as the Celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Timothy Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Thursday and from 9-10 a.m. Friday, both at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Maple Lake. Parish Prayers will be at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
Patrick James Casey was born December 5, 1930 in Waverly to William and Bessie (Sanford) Casey. He was united in marriage to Gladys Kucera on January 25, 1956 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Silver Lake. Pat worked as a painter for Herc-U-Lift in Maple Plain for 28 years, retiring in 1993. He attended St. Timothy Catholic Church in Maple Lake and St. Mary Catholic Church in Waverly. He raised pigs, chickens, horses, geese and other animals at their home over the years. Pat enjoyed spending time with family, gardening, and fixing whatever he could.
He is survived by his wife, Gladys; children James of St. Peter, Richard & his partner Nancy of Pierz, Gail & her husband Gary Thiele of Montrose, Joyce of Cokato, Ray & his partner Terry Shipman of Annandale and Jerry of Buffalo; 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; sister Elizabeth & her husband Herbert Krinkie of Long Prairie; brother Thomas of Cass Lake; sister-in-law JoAnn Casey of Montrose; and brother-in-law Arnold Seefeldt of Lester Prairie. He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Bessie; daughter, Gloria; brothers, Mike and Joseph; and sisters Mary Klugow and Margaret Seefeldt.
Pallbearers will be Randy Klugow, Roger Klugow, Robert Casey, Henry Browsen, Tim Seefeldt and Paul Seefeldt. Marge Pavlik, organist and the St. Timothy Resurrection Choir will provide the music for the service. Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care, Maple Lake.
