Orville E. Treichel, age 84, of Annandale formerly of Anoka died Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at the Annandale Care Center.
Friends may call after 10:30 a.m. with Memorial Services held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June, 20, 2009 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Annandale with Rev. DJ Lura officiating.
Orville Emil Treichel was born November 16, 1924 in Ada, MN to Herman and Ella (Brueschoff) Treichel. As a young man he did logging work in Northern Minnesota on the Sawbill Trail. He married Berniece Pederson June 12, 1949 in Twin Valley. Orville was a warehouseman for United Hardware, New Hope. He was a member of the Country Music Association and the Twin Cities Teamster's Union.
He is survived by his wife Berniece of Annandale, children Orville (Debra) of Andover, James of Cambridge, Dorene (Clyde) Stein of Big Lake, former daughter in law Sue of Princeton, brothers Howard (Marlys) of Fridley, Stanley (Della) of Coon Rapids, seven grandchildren James D., Philip, Sara, Jacob, Melissa, Maria & Anna, and a great grandson Justin. His parents and brother Willard preceded him in death.
The honorary pallbearers will be Howard, Stanley, Todd, Troy, John & Tony Treichel, and Glen Schrupp. The music for the service will be provided by Orma Lou Jacobsma, organist and Phyllis Chase, soloist. The arrangements were entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care of Annandale.
